Travel-size hairbrush

My hairbrush is my constant companion.
I have a full head of long, but very thin hair - not all hairbrushes agree with it.

These are my favorites, both full- and pocket- sized:

Left to right:

Phillips #6 (pocket-size), Phillips #6 (full size), Olivia Garden teasing travel brush, Cricket volumizer wet brush (medium size), and Olivia Garden wet brush (pocket-size).

Both mini brushes travel with me most of the time, 

especially when I have a tiny bit of space to spare in my bag. 

I use one for dry brushing and the other as a detangler after washing my hair.

But when space is an issue, I pack my trusty folding brush :)

Because of my hair type, this brush works both as a regular brush and as a detangler, 

and it even helps section my hair if needed.

Packing for an extended weekend

Extended weekends! Those precious four days... precious few extra hours... 

what's the best way to spend them, if not doing a bit of traveling?

This is how my packing looks for a long weekend. 

In this specific case I'm staying with friends 

so I have the advantage of not needing to pack shampoo or toothpaste 

AND (most important) I have access to a washer and dryer, 

reason to take only the pair of yoga pants I'm wearing,

which I will wash together with whatever else needs washing

 at some point during my stay. Otherwise, I'd pack one extra pants.

The weather is on the chilly side, so I'm wearing my coat 

and packing a thermal shirt for added warmth. 

3 tops, PJs, a couple pieces of underwear (not pictured), my must-take items like

my USB wall charger, Kingston Mobile back up device, camera & charger, 

and my tatting.

2 persons, 4 days in NYC - luggage does not get lighter than this!
